ELAC
The English Learner Advisory Committee is a state program which provides funding to improve the academic achievement of English Learner (EL) students and make budgetary recommendations to the School Site Council. Among the functions of this committee is to advise the principal on matters pertaining to English learners.  Meetings are held once a month at 8:20am.  Check the Tuesday Bulletin for dates.

2007-08 English Learner Advisory Committee
This school year Overland will not maintain an English Learner Advisory Committee because our school has fewer than 21 identified Limited English-Proficient (LEP) students enrolled.  Schools where the total LEP enrollment is more than 20 students need to develop an English Learners Advisory Committee.  For more information about the English Learner Advisory Committee program, please visit:  http://www.lausd.k12.ca.us/District_3/elac.htm

If you have questions or concerns pertaining to your child who is an English Learner, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher, or our Bilingual Coordinators Carmen O’Connor and Erika Bautista.
